The Dive Master Course is your first big step from being a recreational diver to becoming a true underwater leader and a future dive instructor. You’ll gain the knowledge, confidence, and leadership skills to supervise dives, assist students, and handle real-world dive operations. This is where your professional dive journey begins a path that can take you anywhere in the world.
Price Dive Master
Those who complete the Divemaster Course will gain advanced diving skills and a deeper understanding of dive theory at an instructor-level foundation.
They will be able to assist instructors in teaching students, take responsibility for divers under their supervision, and lead diving activities with confidence.
The PADI Divemaster Course is divided into three main sections:
1. Knowledge Development
This can be completed through classroom sessions, self-study at home, or via the online e-Learning system.
Topics include:
1. Supervising general diving activities
2. Assisting student divers in training
3. Dive Theory
– Physics of Diving
– Physiology of Diving
– Dive Equipment
– Decompression Theory and the RDP
4. Divemaster Conducted Programs
5. Risk Management
6. The Business of Diving
7. Your Diving Career
8. Waterskills and Stamina
2. Waterskills and Stamina Development
This section focuses on assessing and improving physical ability and dive demonstration skills.
Includes:
1. Stamina Assessment and Development
2. Diver Rescue Assessment and Development
3. Confined Water Skill Assessment and Development
3. Practical Application
Hands-on field training covering various real-world diving tasks:
1. Mapping Project
– Underwater mapping practice
2. Equipment Exchange:
– Problem-solving and equipment handling underwater
3. Divemaster Conducted Programs:
– Supervising certified divers in open water
– Assisting instructors during Confined Water sessions for Open Water Diver courses
– Assisting instructors during Open Water dives
– Assisting with continuing education courses beyond Open Water Diver level
Prerequisites:
1. Minimum age: 18 years
2. Certified as PADI Advanced Open Water Diver (or equivalent)
3. Certified as PADI Rescue Diver (or equivalent)
4. Completed Emergency First Response Primary and Secondary Care (or equivalent) within the last 12 months
5. Logged at least 40 dives to start the course (60 dives required to complete certification)
6. Medical clearance signed by a physician within the past 12 months
Course Fee: 52,000 THB*
